“I started OK Recruiting in Seoul in 2006 for one reason: teachers moving halfway around the world deserve a recruiter who actually answers. Twenty years on, that hasn't changed — when you write, you reach a real person, before your flight and long after you land.”

What working with us means
Who we place
We place teachers from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa — in hagwons, kindergartens, public and private schools, and universities across Korea.
What teachers say
“Jay replied right away and found me a job in three days. When I landed at Incheon, a pickup was waiting. It's a legitimate company — I'm now teaching in Gangnam.”
Esther — Perth, Australia
“My wife and I wanted to work at the same school. He replied within an hour — near midnight his time. We interviewed the next morning and signed that afternoon.”
Michael — placed with his wife
“I'm experienced and didn't want a generic entry-level job. Jay understood immediately, sent me only roles that fit, and helped me negotiate a higher salary.”
Amanda — experienced teacher
Common questions
Is OK Recruiting a legitimate recruiter?
Yes. We're a Korean government-licensed recruitment agency (License No. 2018-3040191-14-00019), based in Seoul and operating since 2006. We've placed 2,000+ teachers and hold a 4.8★ rating on GoOverseas.
Is it really free for teachers?
Yes. Schools pay our placement fee, so our service costs teachers nothing — no fees, and nothing deducted from your salary.
Which nationalities can apply?
Citizens of the seven E-2-eligible countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
Do I need a TEFL certificate or teaching experience?
You need a bachelor's degree from an E-2-eligible country. A TEFL certificate and experience help, but many first-time teachers are placed without them — we'll tell you exactly where you stand.
How long does placement take?
It depends on your documents and timing, but many teachers are interviewing within a week and teaching in Korea within a month or two.
What happens after I arrive?
We stay reachable by phone and email through your whole contract, and we handle E-2 transfers and extensions if you change schools or decide to stay longer.
Ready to teach in Korea?
Applying takes under five minutes, and our team replies within 24 hours. No fee, no obligation.
