Eligibility & Notes
Airfare is not provided. Teachers relocating from overseas receive a travel allowance of 1,000,000 KRW in lieu of airfare, paid in two installments: 500,000 KRW with the first paycheck and 500,000 KRW with the final paycheck. Candidates already based in Korea do not receive this allowance.
The daily schedule runs 6 classes of 35 minutes each (9:40 AM to 2:40 PM including snack time), with one special class period per day that functions as teacher break time. After-school classes run 3 times per week on a rotating quarterly basis, finishing by approximately 3:40 PM.
All time outside of scheduled classes is designated as prep time. Teachers are not required to participate in school event preparation beyond their own classroom responsibilities.
Annual parent-facing events include a Meet the Teacher session, parent-teacher conferences, and two open classes per year. Report cards are completed each semester. A biweekly Thursday morning outdoor activity (approximately 1 hour) at the school’s orchard is part of the schedule.
